Acrylic Tub/Sink Maintenance

Powders or abrasive cleaners should NOT be used to clean fixtures as they may scratch and dull the surface. Instead, use liquid cleaners.

Caustic drain cleaners should NOT be allowed to stand on the surface and be cleaned thoroughly after pouring into the drain. Stubborn stains, paint or tar can be removed with turpentine or paint thinner, followed by a clean-up with a liquid detergent. Plaster can be removed by scraping with a wooden or plastic edged utensil. Be careful not to use metal scrapers, wire brushes, soap pads or other metal tools. Small scratches or tar deposits from cigarettes can generally be removed with an automotive rubbing compound.
